Step 1 of 3

Does your mower have a ROPS?

A ROPS (Roll Over Protection System) is the metal roll bar that sticks up from behind your seat. Our canopy mounts to this bar — so it's required for installation.

Our canopy needs a ROPS

Our canopy mounts to your roll bar — if your mower doesn't have one, it won't have a mounting point. But don't worry, there's a path forward.

ROPS May Be Addable

Many mowers that ship without a ROPS can have one added as an aftermarket accessory. Check your mower brand's website or contact your local dealer. Once you have a ROPS installed, come back and run this check again.

Not sure if your mower has a ROPS? Walk around the back of the seat. If there's a U-shaped or rectangular metal bar that extends up above your head height, that's it. Some fold down flat — check behind the seat for a folding mechanism.
Step 2 of 3

What shape is the ROPS tube?

Look closely at the cross-section of your roll bar tube. Our square U-bolts need a flat surface to grip — they work on square or rectangular tubing, but not round pipe.

Round tube won't work

Our square U-bolts need a flat surface to clamp against securely. On round tubing, they'd rock and could loosen over time — and we don't want that flying off mid-mow.

Doesn't Fit — Round Tube

Our canopy requires square or rectangular ROPS tubing. Round-tube ROPS setups aren't compatible with our current mounting system.

Step 3 of 3 — The Key Measurement

Measure one side of your ROPS tube

Grab a tape measure or ruler. Measure the width of one flat side of your roll bar tube. This is the measurement our U-bolts clamp around.

MEASURE THIS One flat side of the tube MIN 1.5" MAX 3"

Common sizes: Most zero-turn mowers use 1.5", 2", or 2"×3" ROPS tubing. If you're unsure, 2" is the most common — you can also check your owner's manual under "specifications" or search "[your mower model] ROPS dimensions."

Borderline Measurement

Your measurement is near the edge of our compatible range. We want to make sure you get a solid fit — reach out before ordering and we'll confirm for you.

Double-check your measurement — small errors are common. Even a 1/4" difference matters here. Re-measure with a ruler flat against one face of the tube.

Outside Our Range

Our canopy is designed for ROPS tubing between 1.5" and 3". Your measurement falls outside that range and we can't guarantee a safe, secure fit.

Think your measurement might be off? Re-measure across one flat face of the tube (not diagonally). If you think there's been an error, reach out and we'll help you figure it out.
